BAIBA FEOKTISOVA
Baiba’s large-format paintings are bright and rich. They represent a woman praising her beauty. The exuberant works are permeated by the theme of a woman's identity – at times depicting them as mystical, desirable creatures, with their intriguing charm and unique personality radiance, sometimes childishly naive, carefree, and fragile, as an elusive fairy from a tale.
Baiba Feoktistova creates works in oil and acrylic techniques, adding gold foil that along with bright and contrasting color pallets, forms a splendid and expressive accent. The artist researches and studies anatomy, paint application techniques, and composition to create her works.
While studying the jewelry profession from Olegs Auzers (Oļegs Auzers), the author has gained valuable experience and spatial thinking. This has allowed her to figure out how shapes are formed and how to display them in a plane.
Excellent experience has been gained by studying from the painter Arturs Auzers (Artūrs Auzers), working in plain airs. But most of the skills the artist has learned in the learning-by-doing process since childhood, by showing a strong interest in art and investing time in developing her skills.
